Our new security features help confirm your identification when signing into our online banking service through a two-way authentication process.

Simply pick an image, write a brief phrase and select three challenge questions. Signing up for our new security feature takes just a few minutes. The image, personal phrase and challenge questions work together to help:

Protect Your Accounts. When someone tries to access an account from an unrecognized computer they must answer one of your challenge questions correctly. So even if your login ID and password have been stolen through spyware, a phony Web site, or even from your own handwritten note, the thief would be required to answer a challenge question to get access to the account preventing the thief from accessing your account information.

Confirm the Web site’s validity. Once you enter your login ID and click the submit button, you will see your secret image and phrase. If the image and phrase don’t appear, you could be at a fraudulent site. This capability targets a fraud called spoofing, and will help ensure that you are not fooled by fake versions of our Web site.

Online banking is even more secure than paper based banking. When you use online banking you can detect fraud earlier by reviewing account activity regularly, rather than waiting for a monthly statement in the mail.

Your enhanced security will begin on 10/16/2006 when you login to our online banking at our web site. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to set up your phrase and challenge questions. You can sit back and relax, knowing that your banking information is safe and secure online.
